How Do I Get Admissions At Palm Beach State College?

This 87-year-old US higher-education institution has a selective and open admission policy. International applicants are eligible to apply for enrolment. PBSC also provides several academic and non-academic facilities and services to students including a library, study abroad and exchange programs, online courses, and distance learning opportunities, as well as administrative services. New students will pay a $40 application fee and international students will pay a $75 application fee. This fee is non-refundable. However, returning students, early admission students, high school dual enrolment students, and transient students who are attending a Florida public school will not be assessed the fee. Finally, you must submit a Dual Enrolment Authorisation form to the high school counselor every academic period of enrolment.

How Do I Get Dual Enrolment

Firstly, you are advised to meet with the High School Counsellor to get some advice and also discuss the qualifications one should have so as to be eligible for dual enrolment. You should have earned four high school credits, two of which must include an English Language Arts course and a Mathematics course. Again, you should be in a position to submit placement test scores (SAT, PERT, ACT) which should not be more than two years old after the time you took the test. You should have an unweighted high school cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above. Home education students must be registered with the Palm Beach County School District Home Education Office and must also complete and submit a Dual Enrolment Authorisation form to the PBSC coordinator and a Home Education. Secondly, complete the Palm Beach State College Application and submit it. Once your application is submitted; set up your PBSC Workday Student account, download the MyPBSC mobile application, and request for your Panthercard (PBSC student ID) Thirdly, you should complete your Mandatory Dual Enrolment Orientation and you can do this online. For one to be able to acquire the scholarship, you must; be a graduated high school senior with a minimum 3.0 unweighted GPA, enroll for classes during the fall term following high school graduation, participate in Honors College’s Gold Track, be able to renew if continue with PBSC Bachelor’s program, have a Renewal Cumulative GPA: 3.0. Have College placement ready test scores and have 30 College credits by the time of graduation (Dual Enrolment, AP, AICE or CLEP).

2+2 Scholarship

This is a 2-year scholarship program available to only dual enrolment students. It covers In-state tuition and books. The scholarship funds are available during the Fall, Spring, and Summer semesters. For one to be able to acquire the scholarship, you must; be a graduated high school senior with a minimum 2.5 unweighted GPA, enroll for classes during the fall term following high school graduation. For one to be eligible for the scholarship, you must; complete all the necessary admissions applications and requirements to Palm Beach State College by the start of the summer semester. Be planning to pursue an AA degree at Palm Beach State College, be a First-Time-in-College (FTIC) student with a standard high school diploma and should complete a 2021-2022 FAFSA and be eligible to receive the Pell Grant.
